Key Responsibilities
Working directly in a client’s home, you will ensure a safe and supportive environment through:

Medical Monitoring: Taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and supervising exercise routines.

Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.

Physical Support: Weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning patients as needed.

Daily Living: Serving meal trays, feeding patients, and maintaining an inventory of supplies.

Emergency Response: Administering first aid when required.

Patient Comfort: Performing a variety of tasks aimed at improving the client’s overall comfort and well-being.
What You’ll Need to Succeed

Education: College or non-university certificate/diploma (3 months to <1 year program).

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of professional experience in caregiving.

Credentials: Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates are mandatory.

Transportation: A valid driver’s licence is required; a vehicle is supplied by the employer for duty-related travel.

Physical Readiness: Ability to handle repetitive, physically demanding tasks and lift weights of more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
