Job Opportunity: Farm Manager at Mowi Canada East Inc.

Mowi Canada East Inc. is seeking a dedicated Farm Manager to join our Saltwater team at remote farm sites in the Bay’s West area on the South Coast of Newfoundland and Labrador.

About the Role

As a Farm Manager, you will play a critical role in the operations process, ensuring the sustainable and efficient management of our salmon farms. Reporting to the Area Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

Safely and successfully operate the farm site.

Manage and motivate the site team while fostering a positive work environment.

Uphold high standards of fish husbandry and welfare.

Oversee feed management and optimize growth performance.

Monitor and inspect fish appearance and behavior.

Control budgets and maintain accurate data records.

Perform general farm tasks and ensure compliance with company protocols.

This permanent, full-time position offers on-site living accommodations with a two-week on, two-week off shift schedule.

Qualifications and Skills:

Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent industry experience.

Leadership and project management capabilities.

Commitment to safe working practices.

Proficiency in English (verbal and written communication).

Knowledge of computer systems and document management.

Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to training.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Resilience to work safely in challenging outdoor weather conditions.

Flexibility to meet job demands and work on-site in company accommodations.

Preferred: Marine-related training certificates.
