Key Responsibilities
As a Host/Hostess, your primary duties will include:
Customer Engagement
- Greet and warmly welcome customers as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Provide information about the restaurant, menu, and ongoing promotions.
- Attend to seating arrangements, ensuring efficient placement of guests while accommodating special requests.
Seating Coordination
- Manage the seating plan effectively, especially for large groups or peak dining hours.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow.
- Monitor the waitlist and communicate wait times to guests.
Opening and Closing Activities
- Perform opening duties, including organizing the seating area, ensuring menus are clean and available, and checking the cleanliness of the reception area.
- Carry out closing tasks, such as organizing materials for the next shift and ensuring the front area is clean and orderly.
General Support
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant’s entrance and waiting area.
- Provide customer support by addressing inquiries or resolving minor complaints promptly.
- Foster a positive dining experience by maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
