Ferme LCM Quesnel is seeking two dedicated and physically fit individuals to join our dairy operation in Moose Creek, Ontario. This is a permanent, full-time position ideally suited for those who enjoy working with livestock and operating modern farm machinery in a rural setting.
Compensation & Employment Terms

Salary: $17.60 – $17.90 per hour (Negotiable based on experience).

Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week (Full-time, Permanent).

Schedule: Rotating shifts including early morning, day, evening, night, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities & Livestock Care
As a General Farm Worker, you will be integral to the daily health and productivity of our dairy herd.

Animal Husbandry: Perform livestock feeding, monitor animal health, and assist in the calving process.

Milking Operations: Execute daily milking procedures ensuring the highest standards of hygiene.

Diagnostics: Detect and report signs of disease or health issues in livestock and crops.

Sanitation: Maintain a clean work environment by cleaning stables, barns, pens, and barnyards.

Field Work: Operate tractors and skidsteers to clear fields of debris and perform general maintenance.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
We are looking for reliable team players who are comfortable with the rigorous demands of rural farm life.

Education: Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a dairy or livestock environment.

Machinery Skills: Experience operating a Tractor and Skidsteer is required.

Physical Demands: Must be able to handle heavy loads, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks (bending, crouching, kneeling).

Environment: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including dusty, noisy, and damp environments.

Languages: Proficiency in English or French (Spanish is considered a strong asset).
