Principle Accountabilities: Turkey Grow-Out Operations

The Farm Manager is responsible for maximizing productivity and profit through expert planning and bird welfare.

  • Flock Management: Oversee brood/grow farm activities to achieve optimum performance in poult and turkey livability.

  • Environmental Control: Monitor and manage facility conditions (ventilation, temperature) to maximize the turkeys’ full potential.

  • Biosecurity & Sanitation: Enforce strict biosecurity procedures to maintain healthy flocks and prevent disease.

  • Resource Management: Efficiently manage feed ordering, electricity, L.P. gas, and medication usage.

  • Maintenance: Direct preventative maintenance and repairs for all facility equipment and vehicles.

  • Team Leadership: Support employee morale, implement training, and ensure compliance with all safety and animal welfare guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of stable work history. 4 years of poultry experience (specifically turkeys) is preferred.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Physicality: Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs and perform tasks involving twisting, stooping, and bending. Must be able to wear respiratory and safety protection for extended periods.

  • Technical Skills: Good math ability for inventory records and mechanical aptitude for minor equipment repairs.

  • Availability: Must be available as needed on a 24/7 schedule, including assigned weekends and holidays.

  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship.
