Overview Scott’s Inn & Restaurant, a cherished establishment in Kamloops, BC, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager – Accommodation Services to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while overseeing the smooth operation of our accommodation services.


Languages Required

  • English

Education

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

  • 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role

Workplace Information

  • This position requires on-site work. Remote work is not available.

Responsibilities As the Assistant Manager – Accommodation Services, you will report to the General Manager and be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of the accommodation operations. Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

Operational Management

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance daily operations.
  • Monitor compliance with operational standards to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
  • Oversee and arrange maintenance activities to keep facilities in optimal condition.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring supplies are well-stocked and within budget.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff members to build a strong and cohesive team.
  • Supervise staff, providing guidance and motivation to ensure excellent performance.
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance staff skills and ensure service standards are met.
  • Establish and manage work schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times.

Financial Management

  • Prepare budgets and closely monitor revenues and expenses to maintain financial health.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies without compromising quality.

Guest Services

  • Perform front desk duties as required, including check-ins, check-outs, and responding to inquiries.
  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Negotiate with clients for the use of facilities, tailoring services to meet their specific needs.

Supplier and Client Relations

  • Negotiate with suppliers to procure materials and supplies at competitive rates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
