Job Description

Kalwood Farms, a sweet cherry farm located in Oyama, BC, is looking for seasonal farm labourers to assist with the summer harvest. If you enjoy working outdoors and are looking for a physically engaging role, this opportunity is for you.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working outdoors.
• Strong work ethic and physically fit.
• Detail-oriented for preparing cherries for market.
• Willingness to learn and follow directions.
• Productive and positive attitude.
• Must be a Canadian citizen or possess a valid work permit.

Job Responsibilities

• Planting, fertilizing, cultivating, spraying, irrigating, and harvesting cherries and apples.
• Operating and maintaining farm equipment.
• Examining produce for quality and preparing it for market.

Work Conditions

• Physically demanding role with a variety of tasks.
• Work in varying climate conditions.
• Prior experience is an asset but not required (training provided).
• Must follow food safety and farm safety procedures.
• May be required to work at both Oyama, BC and Silver Creek, BC locations.

Schedule

• 10-hour shifts.
• Work is in-person at the farm.
