Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $19.50 – $20.50 Hourly
Duration: Mid-May through the end of August 2026.
Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal.

Core Responsibilities: Grounds & Facility Maintenance

Under the direction of a supervisor, you will perform essential manual labor and equipment operation to maintain Metro properties during the summer season.

Landscape Operations: Weeding, trimming, planting, and moving heavy landscape materials (rock/dirt).
Equipment Proficiency: Safely operate string trimmers, lawn mowers (up to 52”), cultivators, rototillers, chainsaws, and small gas/electric vehicles.
Industrial Cleaning: Hose down clarifiers and aeration basins; perform detail cleaning of piping, cabinets, and walls using cleaning chemicals.
Site Maintenance: Mixing and applying herbicides, sweeping, and general property cleanup.
Manual Labor: Hand and shovel digging, and lifting/carrying materials up to 80 lbs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Age: Must be at least 16 years of age.
Licensing: Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license.
Desired Skills: Previous experience in landscape or grounds maintenance is highly preferred.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work in all weather conditions, climb ladders/stairs, and handle heavy equipment in a typical agricultural environment.
